Its been awhile since my last post, but thats a good thing - i've been extremely busy. Market is less than a week away and I just finished placing an order with one of my vendors for some new and exciting products. I am hoping to find some great buys this weekend and hope to share my inspiration with all of you.

Next week i'll be playing in the "studio" non-stop...i have 3 shows coming up in the next few weeks and want to have plenty of new designs for all of my wonderful customers...check out Facebook for a listing of upcoming events...I hope to see you soon! I also have a couple of calligraphy jobs lined up so the "inkblot" part of my name will really be sinking in...sinking into my skin that is!

i had it in my head that i needed a website to help promote my business...so i got one. then i figured since i spend oh so much time on facebook, i should get a group, so i got one. not the greatest idea ever, but we learn from our mistakes...right? then i figured i should get a facebook business profile, so i got one...now, that was a REALLY BAD IDEA! so i figured the next step was a facebook page and i'll bet you'll never guess...i got one! a page is not to be confused with a profile...though similar, they have their differences. and last but not least, i needed a blog. so I GOT ONE and here i am blogging away to the world. i figure if you're going to go global on the net, you might as well do it while running full speed.

for those of you who are not familiar with inkBLOTdesignsSTUDIO you should join the facebook page to learn more and see lots of pictures. i'll be adding some here soon enough. the website is
http://www.inkblotdesignsstudio.com/, but its still under construction. hopefully the "contractor" (ie...me) will have it up and running before too long. so check back often.

if you want to know how i got started on this little journey of entreprenuership i'll try to explain. during college i had a million friends get married...so buying gifts constantly was getting a little expensive so i started offering to adddress their invitations with my wonderful calligraphy skills. well, once they sent out their invites, friends of theirs would contact me and id take a client here and there.

then a little over 2 years ago i got a major client and a friend of mine jumped the bandwagon and decided i needed to try my hand at promoting my company. only, i needed a name first. so she and her husband sat down one night (with the help of a liquid inspiration) and {inkBLOT} was born. i added "designs" and "studio" to give it a professional touch. so thanks BRANDY & RYAN for coming up with an awesome name that i love!!!

skip ahead two years and here i am diving face first into e-commerce and seeing what happens. i look forward to hearing back from anyone who reads this and hope to see you on facebook!
